Very early this morning, one of our readers emailed us what seems to be a leaked specification sheet comparing the soon-to-be-released DJI Mavic 2 Pro and Zoom models to the original Mavic Pro. A few things stand out right away. The new drones are heavier, fly farther and for longer, will have OcuSync 2.0. And, if image quality is at the top of your list the Mavic Pro 2 is the one to get.
DJI MAVIC SPECS COMPARED

DJI MAVIC 2 PRODJI MAVIC 2 ZOOMSTAY IN TOUCH!

Let’s take a closer look at the spec sheet. The new Mavic models weigh more than the original Mavic Pro. The Mavic 2 Pro comes in at 907 grams, the Zoom at 905 grams versus the original Mavic Pro ‘only’ weighing 734 grams.
With the extra weight come extra benefits though. The new drones will be able to achieve a top speed of 72 km/h or 45 mph, they will have a maximum altitude of 6 km or 3.75 miles and a flight time of 31 minutes. The old Mavic Pro topped out at 65 km/h or 41 mph, 5 km or 3.125 miles and 27 minutes respectively.
The new DJI Mavic 2 Pro and Zoom models will feature OcuSync 2.0 that provides a 1080p video stream up to 8 km or 5 miles. The original Mavic did 720p up to 7 km 4.373 miles. So, that is a step up both in quality and distance.
Now, let’s take a look at the top of the spec sheet where we find the camera details. The Mavic 2 Pro will feature the 1-inch CMOS sensor with a resolution of 5,472 x 3,648 (20MP), a 10-bit video codec, a 28mm wide-angle lens and a variable mechanical aperture ranging from F2.8 to F11. ISO ranges from 100-6400 (stills) and 100-12800 (video) and an HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma is a high dynamic range, see Wikipedia) mode, shutter speed maxes out at 1/8000 and lastly, the video delivers 4KUHD @ 30fps, 2.7K @ 60fps, FHD @ 120fps at 100Mbps.
The Mavic 2 Zoom comes with a 1/2.3 CMOS sensor with a resolution of 4,000 x 3,000 (12MP) and an optical zoom lens (24-48mm), the aperture is F2.8 at 24mm and F3.8 at 48mm, ISO ranges from 100-3200 for both stills and video, no HLG, maximum shutter speed at 1/8000 and the same video specs: 4KUHD @ 30fps, 2.7K @ 60fps, FHD @ 120fps at 100Mbps.
Notably neither the Mavic 2 Pro or Zoom will be able to deliver 4K @ 60fps. That seems to be reserved for the Phantom 4 Pro.
There is more info in the sheet but, it all seems to be in Chinese. See below.
